GO Classification
Functions
serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity
Processes
extracellular matrix organization / morphogenesis of an epithelium / movement of cell or subcellular component / negative regulation of endopeptidase activity / prostate gland morphogenesis / regulation of epithelial cell proliferation
Components
cytoplasm / extracellular exosome / extracellular space
General Function
Serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity
Specific Function
Tumor suppressor. It blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
