Benfluorex

Benfluorex is an anorectic and hypolipidemic agent that is structurally related to fenfluramine. It was patented and manufactured by a French pharmaceutical company Servier. This recommendation was based on the risks (especially fenfluramine-like cardiovascular side-effects) outweighing the benefits.
